Candian Pacific 9520 works its way through buildings in downtown Milwaukee having just passed through the Milwaukee Intermodal Station. Candian Pacific 4452 idles in Muskego Yard.

I've been wanting to get some shots of Candian Pacific operations through Milwaukee for some time now and finally set out to do so. I was fortunate to have Soo Line 4447 GP38-2 in the lead for both photos. The first image was taken on Maple St. under the old Milwaukee Road Signal. The second image was taken on the corner of 2nd and Florida St. as Soo Line 4447 crosses above 2nd st. Photos taken on 2/8/09.

On a cold winter day Candian National 5289 the L507 job rolls through Rockfield, WI with a small 4 car train on it's way back to DBR Junction. Photo 1/11/2009.

On the night of December 13th I made the journey up to Plymouth, WI to get some shots of Soo Line 1003 waiting for Santa Train duty the next day. The cold weather and wind combined with the steam made for some interesting photographs. I was lucky enough to have shown up at the right time as a film crew was filming footage for a movie and with actors dressed in era clothing.

I had the opportunity to take part in the Soo Line 1003 photo charter back on November 9th as 1003 was making the move to Janesville for the Edgerton Santa Train. Here a two pictures from that day, more can be seen on my website under Steam Locomotives.
